Field Update

The zucchini that has been slow to produce over the past several weeks appears to be doing much better. The squash and cucumbers are doing fine. For the first time we can see what appears to be cantaloupe in the baby stages. We are hoping to see more baby cantaloupe as the quantity appears to be low. We finished all of our carrots last week. Tomatoes are doing better and we hope that some will be in everyone’s share this week. Tomato varieties are Early Girl, Homestead and some heirlooms. Expect more onions and kale. Egg plant are small. The lettuce still remains in question over the next few weeks as we are trying to stay in synch with large amounts of wild purselane in some of our beds. We have enough potatoes to last us a few more weeks, if not longer.

Until next time,
